Sombra de la noche
The Alpha
On a rainy night, a wingless hatchling was abandoned at the entrance of the dragon cave. Lica, who was in the cave to collect her first dragon eggs, saw the little hatchling asleep near the entrance. The creature appeared to be alone. Lica felt compassion for it, and decided to take it to her own cave. She wasn't sure what species the dragon was (since she was still a rookie breeder back then), she thought it was a black dragon, so she named the little one: Sombra de la noche (Shadow of the night).
Sombra grew up alongside Amatista , Alizar and Arcangel (Lica's first stolen eggs). They used to play together all the time, Sombra was like the big brother of all the other hatchlings and became the leader of the group, they followed him around everywhere. He was the first one who grew his wings. He became more reserved, soon he didn't seem to enjoy playing in the cave, he would rather fly away to spent time alone, but never too far from the cave. It was during that time he discovered his powers to control the clouds. Everyone could now know what mood he was depending on the weather. When he was happy, there were drizzles over the valley; when he was angry, violent storms occurred; and the days he was just feeling lazy were sunny days.
He was the first dragon of the clan to reach adulthood, soon the other dragons became adults too, one after another. Under Lica’s guidance they transformed in the leaders of the new formed clan. As it was expected, Sombra was elected as the Alpha.
Sombra is known as a fair and wise leader, he is also very strong (as he had defeated Alizar, the strongest warrior of the clan, various times). One of his most famous feats is the creation of the lake Crystal, with the help of Wyld, the earth dragon. Forty days and forty nights of storm were necessary to raise all the water that today forms the lake. He didn’t know it at the time, but that very lake was going to became the home of a new dragon of the clan, Leviat, who was destined to be Sombra’s mate.
Alizar
The Warrior
Alizar was one of the first four dragons that founded the clan. He was stolen from the dragon cave when he was just an egg.
Ever since he was a hatchling he was very hot-headed and rash, he liked to play rude games the other hatchlings sometimes disliked, and more than once tried to attack Lica, his breeder, when he threw tantrums.
Now that he is an adult, he is one of the strongest dragons of the clan, only surpassed by Sombra de la Noche, the Leader. In various times these two have fought, but all the fights end up in draws or in the defeat of Alizar. He says he is waiting the right moment to beat Sombra down and win the leadership of the clan. But until then, he is responsible for the protecting all the members from intruders and thieves.
Alizar grew up aside Amatista, another of the founders. She is the only one who knows how to calm him down. They were very close friends as hatchlings, and soon after they reached adulthood they became mates.
He is very jealous of any male dragon who shows interest in his mate, but more than once he has betrayed their union, he has cheated on her. Alizar has had affairs with other female dragons. The others believe this to be a great shame for the Clan...
Amatista
The surrogate mother
Lica found her first egg inside the old Dragon cave, it wasn’t very difficult to stole it. She found it in a nest full of dragon eggs, she took the first one she saw and hided it inside a piece of cloth and ran away.
Lica taked care of the egg herself keeping it near her all day long. The little egg was purple, Lica like a rookie breeder, didn’t know what kind of dragon to expect to hatch from it.
It didn’t pass much time before Lica decided to adopt other dragons, soon the purple egg wasn’t alone, when they all hatched the four babies became friends soon, they were playmates and spent all the day together. From the little purple egg hatched a cute purple female hatchling, Lica decided to call her Amatista.
Amatista was always a tender dragon, and was very easy to befriend. When the other dragons fought, she was the one who tried to calm them down. Not even Alizar, the gruffest of the group could ignore her kindness, in fact, they two became close friends and soon after reached adulthood, they became mates. She loves her mate, but she knows he had been unfaithful to her. They are still together. She hides it, but deep inside her she still feels hurt and had not forgiven him completely.
As an adult, Amatista is still a tender and considerate dragon, but that doesn’t mean she’s naive. She is very centered and mature, she never let herself give uo to her impulses. She had become very reserved with the years.
Her task is to take care and raise the eggs and hatchlings of the clan, a task that she loves. She is an affectionate mother, but also very strict and responsible. She have been mother many times, but the clan rules don’t let her keep any of her own eggs, she knows this and accept it without complain, but deep inside her she really misses her children. This is one of the reasons she take care of the young dragons and eggs, she has so much love to give.
Arcangel
The healer
